JCQ Compliant

Exam.net ensures that your schools’ digital assessments meet the required security and integrity standards set by the JCQ. The platform provides a secure exam environment through full-screen mode, lockdown browser and cheat detection. Teachers can also monitor exams effectively in our real-time invigilation view.

Secure Digital Exams

Exam.net’s high-security mode ensures compliance by restricting access to the internet and unauthorized resources. Students remain connected, but in a controlled environment which prohibits any access to the internet, other tabs or ChatGPT, for example. Additionally, student texts are continuously saved, preventing any risk of lost work.

Access Arrangements for students

Accessibility is a key focus, providing support for students needing access arrangements in exams, through in-built digital tools such as text-to-speech, dictation, spellcheck and student-controlled colour filters and fonts.

“We have used Exam.net throughout the year, ensuring students with additional support needs are comfortable using the platform.”

Exam.net supports all UK exam boards and complies with JCQ regulations, offering a secure and streamlined platform for creating, administering and marking online assessments.

Easy to use

Exam.net is an easy to use teaching tool for streamlining the process of creating, administering, and marking all sorts of assessments. Students do not need accounts or passwords, which makes it easy to get started. The platform is cloud-based and works on all devices, including Ipads, Chromebooks, Windows, and Mac, allowing schools to conduct exams in their existing IT environment without requiring additional setups.

Supporting Exam Officers

If printed exam submissions are required, Exam.net allows invigilators to download and print student responses after the exam. Each page contains the student’s details (eg. name and candidate number) and is automatically numbered to maintain order and clarity. This ensures a smooth process whereby students complete their exams digitally, and invigilators can easily retrieve and print students’ work for sending off or archiving.

Used for SQA exams in Scottish schools

Exam.net also meets SQA requirements and is widely used in Scotland. Read more about how Larbert High School has implemented Exam.net and used it for the SQA exam session in May 2024 here.

“At the end of the day, who’s not going to be interested in something that cuts down their workload and allows standardisation without compromises? That’s a win-win!”
